If there’s one trend thats come and gone, been loved and left, and often ridiculed, it’s the jumpsuit.  I for one have a slight obsession with a good jumpsuit…I have 5 jumpsuits, 4 are black and 1 is maroon.  And I also have 2 rompers. I cant get enough!   When I say good jumpsuit I’m considering a few important criteria…First of which is the fabric.  A silk jumpsuit is flowy and elegant, and who doesn’t love the feel of silk?  Another important detail to consider is rise.  A safe bet for the rise on a jumpsuit or romper is a natural waist, not too high and not a drop waist.  Should you be so gutsy to try a high or empire waisted jumpsuit I suggest investing in a pair of Spanx briefs.  But fear not fashionistas, the Jumpsuit, romper, and catsuit aren’t hard to pull off with a little saavy styling.  Here’s how…

For warm summer days, a jumpsuit or romper can be dressed down by pairing with some fun flats and oversized sunglasses.  Adding a belt will give you more shape.

Jumpsuits are nice because they give you a good foundation to work with.  There’es no scrambling through your closet to find the perfect top to go to with the new skirt you just bought, because the foundation work has been done for you!  Have fun mixing and matching belts, clutches and jewelry to accent your chic one piece.  Jumpsuits are a timeless and affordable wardrobe staple.  Happy styling!
