It’s All About Style

Coco Chanel said it best. “Fashion fades. Only style remains the same.”

These words still ring true today. Here at Linda’s Stuff, we are surrounded not only by the latest trends but by trends from decades past. Suffice to say we not only live and breathe fashion every day- we relive it.

As yet another incredible fashion week came to a close in Paris, many of our favorite designers drew on past inspirations. With many exciting collections debuting this Fall, it’s no doubt we will be looking forward to seeing what our favorite Hollywood stars will be wearing in the upcoming months.

Many Hollywood starlets of the 21st century became true fashion icons in their days. When I think of some of my personal favorites from past decades I go back to the days of the Roaring Twenties where silent films stars like Louise Brooks dazzled us with elegance. The classic one shoulder dress is still perfect for an evening out on the town.

Try an abstract print one shoulder dress like this one from BCBG Max Azria. Throw in some flashy jewels and you’ll be sure to be a starlet at your next event!

Another personal favorite of mine is 1970s fashion icon and actress Ali McGraw. Ali was known for wearing adorable multi-print knit dresses paired with knee high boots, classic jeans and turtleneck sweaters – all of which are perfect for the beginning of Fall.

With bell bottoms making a comeback this year, why not try a pair of Current Elliott jeans which are up for auction this week.

Remember it’s all about your own personal style. Whether you are looking for vintage clothing or something that is vintage inspired – we are sure to have just what you are looking for! Write in and tell us some of your favorite style trends of the decades!
