If you are like us, you were probably anxiously awaiting yesterday’s inauguration of the 44th President of the United of the States. Political parties aside, it is undeniable that everyone was dying to know: what would the First Lady of the United States be wearing to the formal event? Since President Obama’s first term, Michelle Obama has been praised for White House style. In fact, recently Michelle Obama made headlines with a new hairstyle which has her rockin’ the bangs. This new look will no doubt have every woman in America rushing to the nearest hair dresser for a new “Michelle” ‘do.

Mrs.Obama has become quite the fashionista over the past few years. Her style is both classy and sophisticated. It’s no wonder why she’s become such a style icon. She’s worn some incredible designs from the elegant Oscar de La Renta to casual J. Crew. So what did she choose?

The first lady didn’t disappoint her fashion fans as she choose a style that was both classy and unique. For her daytime look, she chose Thom Browne’s navy checkered coat dress which was custom designed for her. Browne was quoted as saying he was, “proud and humbled.”

As for the inauguration ball, Michelle stunned in this Jason Wu red velvet and chiffon halter gown. With all of her wonderful looks that we have seen over the President’s first term, we are certainly looking forward to another four years of the First Lady’s style!
